Follow these general usage instructions:

Take out the fire blanket
Retrieve the fire blanket quickly from its storage location.
Protect yourself
Use heat-resistant gloves if possible to protect your hands. Hold the blanket by the corners, keeping it away from your face.
Cover the fire source
Approach the fire carefully and place the fire blanket over the flames, ensuring the entire fire source is covered.
Leave the blanket in place
Allow the fire blanket to remain in place for a while to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
Allow to cool after use
Let the covered area cool down. Do not remove the fire blanket immediately to prevent re-ignition.
